- I started Kiting when I was 15 and instantly fell in love with it.It was not long before I was up and riding. That was the summer of 2007 the following summer I convinced Darren Marshall from Australian Kite boarding school to take me on as an assistant instructor, this is where it all began after a few weeks of me starting Darren had hooked me up with Airush Kiteboarding and got me a sponsorship, over the summer I progressed and Darren helped me out with some coaching. At the end of that summer I decided I would enter into the Nationals, flying from WA to Queensland I had no idea how I would go. At the end of the week long competition I came out 4th in the junior division and was awarded the best up and coming rider for 2008. The next summer came around super fast and I was super pumped, I had just finished high school and was ready to take on the world. Over the summer I participated in multiple competitions and trained hard riding with Andy Yates and all the local crew. I flew over to the Nationals with big hopes and high expectations. I succeeded and Won the nationals titles and place 3rd in the Open men’s division.
